Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting transportation operations from start to finish—think order entry, routing, dispatching, and real-time communication.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Entering customer load information into our Freight Optimizer system
- Keeping customer profiles updated and accurate
- Monitoring daily deliveries and pickups to ensure they’re on time and damage-free
- Taking check calls from drivers and updating load statuses
- Communicating proactively with account managers and customers about load progress
- Investigating and documenting overages, shortages, or damages
- Scheduling/rescheduling delivery appointments
- Giving drivers detailed instructions for successful routes
Required:
- 1+ year of logistics or transportation industry experience
- General understanding of transportation operations
- Ability to work the designated shift: Mon–Sat, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- High school diploma or equivalent
- bilingual (Spanish/English) – preferred
- strong communication skills—both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and solve problems quickly
- Experience with reporting, documentation, and professional correspondence
