Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management:
- Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, intercompany transactions, and reclassifications, in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper coding and classification of all financial transactions.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are recorded accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, intercompany transactions, and reclassifications, in accordance with GAAP.
- Account Reconciliations:
- Perform thorough and timely reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process, working collaboratively with other departments as needed.
- Develop and improve reconciliation procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform thorough and timely reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Utilize advanced Excel functionalities (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas) to extract, manipulate, analyze, and present financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in account balances.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- Utilize advanced Excel functionalities (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas) to extract, manipulate, analyze, and present financial data.
