You'll utilize MRP systems for demand forecasting and inventory management, and collaborate with logistics to optimize stock levels. Accurate weekly and end-of-month inventory reporting is also required.
What you bring:
- 3+ years of purchasing experience in Food Manufacturing.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in procurement.
- SAP knowledge and experience.
- Analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience with online purchasing, data entry, database management, and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills are a must.

Responsibilities
- Purchase order management: Prepare purchase orders for approval; must also track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.
- Work closely with Production Managers and General Manager to understand required stock levels for planned production.
- Verify Purchase Orders submitted are received correctly and in full.
- Responsible for PO process from beginning to end.
- This includes preparing purchase orders with current pricing, correct order quantity and update ETA as required.
- Support the General Manager to negotiate the best pricing for all products (especially commodity items which change frequently).
- Prepare and provide forecast volumes to Suppliers to receive volume discounts.
- Maintain supplier relationships to ensure a constant uninterrupted supply of materials.
- Inventory Management: It is the responsibility of a Procurement Coordinator to monitor inventory levels and ensure that there is an adequate supply of goods to meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate with the logistics teams to optimize inventory levels
- Verify physical inventory counts daily and raise any PO’s required
- Provide accurate inventory reports to Management weekly via email.
- Responsible for End-of-month reporting, must thoroughly report on-hand inventory for all materials and finished products.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition through delivery.
