We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous individual to help maintain our high standards of product quality. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products meet defined specifications before shipment.
Product Inspection and Testing
- Perform routine in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and raw materials.
- Conduct physical measurements and quality checks using various tools, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and specialized testing equipment.
- Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and finished goods.
- Collaborate with production personnel to perform first-piece and continuous quality checks to minimize waste and ensure efficient output.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and detailed quality records and inspection logs for all tested products.
- Document and clearly communicate quality issues and failures to the Production Supervisor and relevant team members.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality work instructions.
- Generate reports summarizing inspection results and trends for management review.
Process Support and Improvement
- Support the manufacturing team in understanding and adhering to product specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in the investigation of customer complaints or returned materials to identify root causes of quality issues.
- Contribute ideas and feedback for process improvements that enhance product quality and efficiency.
Important Notes for Applicants
- Manufacturing Experience: While prior formal QC experience is a plus, we welcome applications from individuals with 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in our industry who are looking to transition into a dedicated Quality Control role.
- Interview Process: As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to successfully complete a hands-on quality/measurement test.
- Scope of Role: This is an individual contributor role focused on execution and inspection, not a management position. Extensive knowledge of ISO quality systems is not required.
