A growing mid-size law firm is hiring for a Civil Litigation Paralegal. In this role you will assist with all aspects of litigation and perform a range of substantive case related duties connected with insurance defense. This role is hybrid with 2 days in office/week in DC.  Position requires 5+ years of paralegal experience, including 3 years of recent litigation experience. Compensation package includes a base salary of $80,000-90,000 + quarterly and annual bonus + comprenshive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assists attorneys in all phases of discovery and motions practice.
• Assists attorneys in preparation of depositions; schedules attorneys, expert witnesses, and interested parties; prepares and serves Notice(s) of Deposition; coordinates schedules with court reporters and videographers.
• Prepares witness files by insuring all relevant documents are obtained and filed; ensures witnesses receive relevant documents to review prior to deposition.
• Indexes and summarizes deposition transcripts.
• Prepares and coordinates service of subpoenas; research Registered Agents to ensure appropriate service.
• Maintains practice group database to track subpoenas, experts, and liens.
• Performs document reviews and prepares document productions, including Bates numbering.
• Performs research
