  A prominent DC-based business trade association is hiring a permanent Meetings, Events & Conference Specialist. This role provides high level support and oversight for the convention and meeting activities. Reporting to the Meetings Director and working with 3 associate directors, this collaborative team travels 35% of the time and puts on 15 major meetings, an annual convention, and 12+ additional smaller chapter meetings, headquarters events, and virtual meetings.

Hybrid schedule and frequent travel required (with reimbursement) salary between $60-70,000 commensurate with experience. 100% employer paid benefits, 401k and 5% Safe Harbor, monthly commuter stipend, and PTO/sick leave and personal days. Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Event Management: Lead the design, implementation, and post-event analysis for all meetings and the annual convention, ensuring high-quality execution from start to finish.
  
  
• Logistics & Material Coordination: Oversee the production and shipping of event collateral, including signage, badges, and marketing materials, while maintaining accurate meeting history and supplier databases.
  
  
• Stakeholder & Chapter Consulting: Act as a primary resource for members and chapters by providing expert recommendations on venues, local vendors, and restaurant selections for off-site functions.
  
  
• Administrative & Digital Oversight: Manage departmental calendars, staff schedules, and Office 365 environments to ensure seamless internal communications and organizational efficiency.
  
  
• Contract & Data Validation: Audit venue and housing contracts against historical data to ensure accuracy in room blocks and terms before routing for final signatures.
  
  
• Member Support & Registration: Provide direct assistance to attendees via phone and email, troubleshooting challenges with online registration, housing, and general event inquiries.
