Core Responsibilities As the 1st Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the "pulse" of the warehouse, ensuring productivity meets the company’s high standards for accuracy and speed.
- Operational Leadership: Supervise all 1st-shift warehouse activities, ensuring accurate picking, shipments, and appropriate merchandise handling.
- Team Development: Monitor and evaluate the performance of direct reports; provide critical training on processes and procedures for 2nd shift transitions.
- Compliance & Safety: Promote and enforce workplace safety protocols; perform daily operations and safety checks on all powered industrial trucks.
- Strategic Coordination: Communicate business plans and departmental goals; collaborate with all levels of the organization to hit KPIs.
- Inventory Oversight: Maintain high-level accuracy in documentation for all outbound shipments and SKU management.
- Experience: 2+ years in warehouse operations and 2–3 years specifically in Inventory Control and SKU Management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating powered industrial trucks. Experience with Eclipse Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a major plus.
- Physical Standards: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely; comfortable working at heights (25’–30’) and in various environmental conditions (heat/cold/dust).
- Leadership Style: A "creativity and latitude" mindset, someone who can use judgment to solve complex distribution challenges independently.

- Inventory Oversight: Ensure appropriate handling of merchandise while following distribution center concepts, practices, and procedures.
