The Opportunity We are seeking a high-growth-minded Assistant Controller to join our expanding Finance leadership team. This is a newly created role designed to bridge our core operations with a newly acquired business unit. You will play a pivotal role in scaling our accounting functions, driving automation, and ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
salary: $135,000 - $145,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Drive the Close: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Integrate & Automate: Lead the transition of a newly acquired entity from manual processes (QuickBooks) to NetSuite environment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of 2–3 direct reports (Senior and Staff levels) plus interns.
- Audit & Compliance: Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting specific to the gaming and payments industry.
- Strategic Support: Partner with the Controller to manage cash, treasury, and internal controls, freeing up leadership for M&A and strategic initiatives.
- Technical Expert: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; a CPA is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a background in transaction processing or high-volume environments.
- Software Savvy: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) are required; experience with NetSuite and Blackline is highly desirable.
- Problem Solver: You aren't afraid to get into the weeds of a journal entry while keeping your eye on the high-level strategy.
