Responsibilities
Role and Responsibilities:
The procurement specialist manages the entire procurement process, from identifying
sourcing needs to ensuring delivery of goods and services. Key responsibilities include:
- Supplier Sourcing and Relationship Management: Identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to secure the best prices and quality for the organization.
- Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing: Preparing purchase orders (POs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and managing bids to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Contract and Compliance Management: Ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and regulatory standards
- Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination: Monitoring deliveries, managing inventory levels, and resolving supply chain challenges to maintain continuous operations.
- Collaboration Across Departments: Working closely with finance, operations, and production teams to align procurement decisions with organizational goals.
