Title: 3rd Shift Plant Supervisor Location: Zion, IL Shift: 3rd Shift (Overnight)Job Summary The 3rd Shift Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and operational activities during the overnight shift at the Zion, IL facility. This critical leadership role ensures the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of products such as antifoams, emulsifiers, hydrophobic silica & release agents while managing a team of operators and adhering to all regulatory and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Shift Management & Leadership:
  • Direct and manage all day-to-day production activities on the 3rd shift to meet manufacturing schedules and volume targets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production operators, promoting a positive, safe, and results-driven work environment.
  • Conduct shift-to-shift handoffs and communicate production status, safety issues, and personnel matters to the management team.
• Production & Process Oversight:
  • Monitor the emulsifier batch-making process, ensuring strict adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch record specifications.
  • Troubleshoot process deviations, equipment issues, and material flow problems to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality Assurance teams to ensure equipment readiness and product quality standards are met.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce all company safety policies (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, confined space, proper product handling) and manage all shift-related safety incidents and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
• Quality & Inventory:
  • Oversee in-process quality checks and ensure accurate completion of all production documentation, logs, and reports.
  • Manage raw material consumption and finished goods inventory on the shift, reporting discrepancies and coordinating logistics as needed.
