Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Claims & Data Management: Manage daily receipt and processing of all workplace incident tickets, including insurer notices, court/legal documents, and doctor's notes. Ensure all incidents are documented accurately and filed in a timely manner.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain the OSHA 300 log daily. Partner with the EHS team to implement policies and training in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA).
- Safety Support: Assist the Employee Safety Manager in identifying potential hazards based on occurrence trends. Provide data research to support leadership recommendations regarding safety-related discipline.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with insurance brokers, carriers, nurse case managers, and attorneys to proactively manage claim costs. Coordinate with HR to facilitate the leave process and successful Return to Work (RTW) outcomes.
- Reporting & Innovation: Recommend new procedures and process improvements based on industry trends and internal data to prevent incident re-occurrence.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict patient and employee confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA guidelines.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in workplace safety, OSHA compliance, or occupational health.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new information management systems like Paylocity and Dynafile.
