We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients finance team in Bethlehem. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys the dynamic nature of a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining the General Ledger, and ensuring accurate cost accounting for our production operations.

salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist in the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  
  
• General Ledger Maintenance: Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets.
  
  
• Cost Accounting & WIP: Track "Work-in-Progress" (WIP) and assist with standard cost analysis to ensure project-based manufacturing costs are accurately captured.
  
  
• Inventory Oversight: Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory balances between the warehouse and the ERP system.
  
  
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and internal management reports, providing analysis on budget-to-actual variances.
  
  
• AP & Audit Support: Review Accounts Payable vouchers for proper coding and support internal/external auditors by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
  
  
• Compliance: Assist with sales and use tax (SUT) filings and ensure all accounting activities remain compliant with GAAP.
