Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Prepare and post journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist in the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets.
- Cost Accounting & WIP: Track "Work-in-Progress" (WIP) and assist with standard cost analysis to ensure project-based manufacturing costs are accurately captured.
- Inventory Oversight: Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory balances between the warehouse and the ERP system.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and internal management reports, providing analysis on budget-to-actual variances.
- AP & Audit Support: Review Accounts Payable vouchers for proper coding and support internal/external auditors by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Compliance: Assist with sales and use tax (SUT) filings and ensure all accounting activities remain compliant with GAAP.
