- Operational Oversight: Coordinate the daily activities of the air import/export team to ensure the efficient, timely, and safe delivery of all cargo.
- Client Relations & Quoting: Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing accurate quotes and real-time status updates throughout the day via phone and email.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and third-party service providers to secure capacity and streamline the logistics chain.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all relevant trade laws, TSA requirements, and customs regulations to ensure seamless international transit.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement internal policies and procedures designed to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including transit times, departmental costs, and service accuracy.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and workflow enhancements to elevate the overall customer experience.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Analytical Thinking: Robust problem-solving abilities; the capacity to think critically when faced with shipping delays or logistical hurdles.
