This is an ideal role for a professional who has the fundamentals down but is looking for more "nerve center" exposure. Responsibilities
Strategic Acquisition & Demand
- Order Execution: Build on your existing purchasing knowledge by processing specialized POs and assisting with competitive bid-related orders.
- Inventory Logic: Partner with sales divisions to align purchasing with real-time market demand, learning the "why" behind the buy.
- Data Administration: Take ownership of the SKU lifecycle, maintaining 100% accuracy in pricing and product details within the system.
- Systems Management: Gain advanced exposure to EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and leverage Excel across a multi-screen setup to track supply schedules.
- Supplier Relations: Serve as the professional voice of the company, holding vendors accountable to shipping commitments and delivery timelines.
- Problem Resolution: Manage the "clean-up" of the supply chain by investigating 60+ day old orders and processing shelf-stock adjustments (SSA).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional purchasing/procurement experience.
- Tech Skills: strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience navigating SKU-based systems.
- Attributes: Self-starter with high "professional stamina" for a high-volume, fast-paced desk.
