Responsibilities
Core Reconciliation & Analysis
- Perform complex daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reconciliations, focusing on balancing back to ledgers and GLs using specific reconciliation logic.
- Validate settlement activity, balances, and conversions across multiple source systems to ensure total integrity.
- Identify, research, and resolve reconciling items and "breaks," with a specific focus on aged and high-risk discrepancies.
- Analyze exception reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions within strict timelines.
- Maintain rigorous documentation that meets Controller Group audit and control standards.
- Support SOX activities by providing clear evidence, audit trails, and technical explanations for account activity.
- Monitor and age differences appropriately, ensuring all "out-of-balance" items are documented through resolution.
- Update reconciliation accounts by capturing balances from various source systems.
- Process journal vouchers and ledger adjustments to correct discrepancies discovered during the reconciliation process.
- Bridge the gap between transactional data (AP, invoices, expense reimbursements) and the General Ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
