What you will be doing:
As part of the Centralized Record Control Center (CRCC), the Record Management Specialist – Special Projects is primarily responsible for pulling records, data entry of patient demographic information, quality check and boxing records to be sent to offsite storage.
- Processes pre-Epic MGH paper records in the onsite file room. Retrieves record from the MGH onsite file room.
- Performs data entry of patient demographic information using the Record Management database tool.
- Performs a quality check on data entry and/or boxes medical records to be sent to office storage.
- Records daily volume and productivity of work completed on a daily basis
- Protects the confidentiality and integrity of patient information at all times
- Participates in team meetings reporting any issues to Team Leads and/or Manager
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to regularly climb ladders, lift 25-pound containers of medical records and properly navigate hallways pushing oversized carts loaded with medical records
- Large file room/warehouse setting
- Organized, detail oriented, and work well in time sensitive situations.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a group/team setting.
- Accountability to comply with policies, procedures and work requirements (e.g. meeting daily productivity)
