We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Payroll Tax and Garnishment Coordinator. This role provides essential operational support for payroll administration, focusing on the accurate processing of legal documents and system maintenance within a high-volume environment.
The Role This is a process-driven position responsible for the end-to-end coordination of garnishment activities and payroll tax correspondence. You will serve as the primary point of contact for mail intake, ensuring that all physical and electronic documents are received, prioritized, and routed correctly. High-level confidentiality and precision are required as you handle sensitive employee information and court-ordered mandates.
Key Responsibilities
- Mail & Document Management: Receive, sort, and review incoming payroll tax and garnishment correspondence. You will identify time-sensitive legal documents, scan them into the system, and route them to the appropriate internal teams or agencies.
- SAP Data Entry: Accurately enter new garnishments and updates into the SAP payroll system. You will assist with vendor setup and maintain comprehensive records to ensure compliance with standard work instructions.
- Administrative Support: Assist Payroll Tax Analysts with the validation of state unemployment rates and account numbers, ensuring all system data is current and accurate.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to established payroll procedures, service timelines, and legal regulations regarding wage attachments.
- Experience: Proven background in handling high-volume, time-sensitive document processing or mailroom operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP Payroll or a comparable enterprise-level payroll system is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge: A working understanding of wage garnishment concepts, terminology, and payroll tax correspondence.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to follow complex documented procedures, and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.

• Scan, index, and route documents to designated systems, workflows, or payroll partners.
• Forward required correspondence, acknowledgments, and notices to courts, agencies, and internal payroll teams as directed.
• Ensure secure handling and confidentiality of all employee and company documentation.
