We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a leading agricultural company in Lake Worth. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire role focused on managing vendor relationships and ensuring the accurate, timely flow of financial transactions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are received and recorded accurately.
• Dispute Resolution: Communicate directly with vendors to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing documentation.
• Payment Processing: Execute check runs and perform online payments via ACH and wire transfers.
• Reporting: Monitor invoice due dates and prepare aging reports to track outstanding liabilities.
• Fraud Prevention: Enter issued checks into the "Positive Pay" system.
• Data Entry: Accurately enter payment vouchers and approved credit card transactions into the accounting system.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of professional Accounts Payable experience.
• Language: Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) to communicate effectively with various vendors.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting software (experience with Oracle or Famous Software is a major plus).
• Soft Skills: strong attention to detail, ability to spot errors quickly, and a preference for fast-paced environments.
• Education: No degree required; relevant experience is prioritized.
