Responsibilities
- Review vendor invoices for appropriate documentiion and secondary approvals. Ensure precise coding to expense and balance sheet accounts while proactively resolving discrepancies
- Perform accounts payable month-end close functions and reconciliations and assist in accounting month-end closing
- Responsible for the gathering, organization and presentation of financial documentation for auditor review. Play a critical role in ensuring a seamless, efficient audit cycle through meticulous record-keeping
- Lead AP month-end close functions. Cross-train with the Controller to manage full-cycle bank reconciliations, complex journal entries, and General Ledger maintenance. This role is vital for ensuring the financial integrity and accuracy of the company’s monthly financial statements
- Oversee revenue recognition and job costing. Ensure all financial data and expenditures align strictly with specific project milestones and contractual obligations, particularly within a construction or industrial framework
- Identify and analyze financial trends and data patterns to provide actionable insights to leadership. Assist the Controller with detailed Income Statement analysis, Fixed Asset tracking, and Sales Tax reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Support the Controller with insurance tracking, banking functions, and high-priority management projects. You must be able to pivot quickly to support urgent operational needs as they arise
