About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with an "accounting brain" to join a premier $9 million residential and commercial service company. This isn't just a data-entry role; we need a professional who understands the logic of debits, credits, and the necessity of a clean audit trail. You will serve as the financial and administrative hub of the office, managing everything from high-volume accounts to fleet logistics and human resources
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Accounting Proficiency: Must demonstrate a deep understanding of basic accounting principles, journal entries, and audit trails.
- Software Mastery: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop is required. Experience with FieldEdge (FieldSoft) or similar service-based software is a major plus, though training will be provided.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in a service-based industry (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical) is highly preferred.
- Organization: Must be able to handle a high volume of transactions (30–50 daily) with accuracy and speed.
- Competitive salary increase to $35.00/hour.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage Accounts Payable by reconciling packing slips to invoices and verifying inventory via POs.
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee daily integration and reconciliation, including posting invoices, billing, and collections for field technicians.
- Reconciliations: Perform daily and month-end reconciliations of bank statements, five company credit cards, and all open payables.
- Payroll & Reporting: Process weekly payroll through QuickBooks. Handle all quarterly and annual payroll tax reporting.
- Human Resources: Manage new employee intake/onboarding, oversee health insurance benefits, IRA enrollment, and track vacation/spiff programs.
- Fleet & Asset Management: Maintain compliance for a fleet of ~35 vehicles, including gas cards, registrations, and insurance cards.
- Operational Support: Maintain inventory of employee uniforms and office stationery. Manage annual city/county licensing renewals and coordinate with vendors for annual audits.
