Overview A confidential manufacturing organization is seeking a Quality Engineer II to support quality systems, process improvements, and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality from incoming materials through final inspection while driving continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality and process control methods, including SPC, inspection, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving tools.
- Lead cross-functional projects to ensure timelines, communication, and deliverables are achieved.
- Perform internal quality system audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Facilitate CAPA activities and monitor corrective actions to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Support APQP activities, including product and process validation and verification efforts.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics, reporting tools, and performance dashboards.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to reduce future risks using methodologies such as DOE, DFM, FMEA, GD&T, process capability analysis, and Six Sigma principles.
- Support material review and nonconformance investigations through failure analysis and corrective action recommendations.
- Assist with employee training programs, including blueprint reading and quality systems training.
- 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality systems.
- Experience with ISO 9001 standards and auditing requirements required; ISO 13485 experience preferred.
- Previous auditing experience preferred.
- analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus.
