We are currently seeking dependable, detail-oriented Quality Control Technicians (QC Techs) to join our Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) team at our facility in Bay Shore, NY. We have open positions on both our 2nd and 3rd shifts.
As a QC Tech, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the production line, enforcing hygiene/safety standards, and ensuring every product that leaves our facility is safe, delicious, and compliant with USDA and SQF regulations.
salary: $17.5 - $20 per hour

Responsibilities
- Line Inspections: Perform routine quality checks on the production floor, monitoring raw materials, in-process products, and finished packaging for compliance with product specifications (weight, temperature, appearance, and sealing).
- GMP Enforcement: Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) among production personnel, ensuring strict adherence to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene policies.
- Pre-Operational Inspections: (Particularly for 3rd shift) Conduct pre-operational inspections of machinery, equipment, and production rooms post-sanitation to ensure the plant is sterile and ready for operation.
- Testing & Sampling: Collect environmental swabs, food samples for laboratory testing, and conduct routine allergen or sensory testing (color, texture, taste).
- Documentation: Accurately complete shift reports, temperature logs, and quality documentation. Report any deviations or defects to the QA Supervisor immediately.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance, ideally within a food manufacturing, beverage, or pharmaceutical environment (preferred, but we will train individuals with attention to detail).
