Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete accurate intake paperwork, registration, and pre-registration workflows for all incoming patients.
- Calculate, explain, and collect necessary patient financial liabilities, such as copayments and deductibles, in a hospitable manner.
- Navigate and maneuver through multiple computer systems, entry databases, and software windows in a timely, accurate manner.
- Maintain absolute compliance with all HIPAA regulations to secure sensitive patient data.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, financial guarantors, and insurance providers.
- Travel occasionally to designated regional outpatient off-site facilities if required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a high-volume healthcare facility or medical office setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required (must be able to provide a physical copy upon request).
- Working knowledge of medical insurance frameworks, billing practices, and medical terminology.
- Exceptional customer service skills alongside strong English spelling, reading, and basic mathematical capability.
- Proven typing speed of at least 45 words per minute (WPM).
- Active Driver's License.
- Must clear standard onboarding verifications, including a criminal background check, drug screen, physical exam, and full hospital health clearances.
