Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Multi-State & International Payroll Operations
- High-Volume Processing: Execute end-to-end processing for weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly payroll frequencies across multiple employers and taxing jurisdictions.
- Complex Gross-to-Net Calculations: Administer intricate calculations ensuring accurate withholding for taxes, specialized deductions, 401(k) loans, garnishments, and union dues (including Canadian garnishments).
- System Adjustments & Corrections: Execute complex reversal adjustments, perform due diligence for manual data modifications, and coordinate void/stop payments directly with our banking institutions.
- Year-End & Special Payments: Oversee annual close procedures including processing bonuses, merit increases, deferred compensation, and complex taxable entries (relocation, car allowances, imputed income, awards, and gifts).
- System Management: Drive day-to-day payroll execution within Workday HCM and Payroll, proactively reviewing employee data input for inaccuracies, duplication, or inconsistent trends.
- Testing & Upgrades: Participate in extensive system testing for parallel runs, version upgrades, enhancements, and the analytical evaluation of newly acquired business units.
- Configuration Support: Help develop and maintain Workday configurations, draft comprehensive end-user documentation, and support system training.
