Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration: Processes accurate biweekly payroll for over 300 employees. Manages timesheet verification, direct deposits, and all deductions (garnishments, levies, child support, 401k loans).
- System Ownership: Serves as the primary administrator for the company’s enterprise HRIS and electronic timekeeping software.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensures strict adherence to internal policies and federal/state/local wage laws. Conducts quarterly payroll audits and facilitates external financial audits.
- Data Integration: Partners with HR and Accounting to maintain seamless employee data flow. Processes authorized adjustments to pay, benefits, taxes, and transfers on a timely basis.
- 401(k) Management: Handles biweekly submittals, administration, and compliance for the retirement plan.
- Employee Relations: Resolves payroll discrepancies and responds to staff inquiries confidently and discreetly.
- Reporting & Strategy: Analyzes payroll data to generate detailed reports and recommends continuous improvements to software and procedures.
- Safety & Culture: Maintains strict confidentiality of personnel files and proactively addresses unsafe behaviors in the workplace.
