Responsibilities
- End-to-End Payroll Processing: Manage and execute the biweekly payroll cycle for 300+ employees. Review timesheets for accuracy, manage direct deposits, and process complex deductions including garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, and 401(k) loans.
- System Administration: Serve as the internal administrator and super-user for the UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management electronic timekeeping platforms.
- Data Integrity & Cross-Functional Flow: Coordinate closely with HR and Accounting to maintain, update, and audit employee records (compensation changes, tax exemptions, benefits/insurance deductions, and department transfers) ensuring proper cross-authorization.
- Compliance & Auditing: Conduct comprehensive quarterly payroll audits. Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, wage/hour regulations, and internal corporate policies.
- 401(k) Oversight: Manage all aspects of the company’s 401(k) plan, including biweekly submittals, administration, and supporting year-end retirement audits.
- Reporting & Reporting Support: Create, analyze, and distribute detailed payroll transaction reports for leadership, and facilitate external audits by gathering required compliance documentation.
- Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, proactively resolving discrepancies with high-quality customer service and strict confidentiality.
