Responsibilities
- Responsible to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and coordinate with the Technical Managers to optimize maintenance programs.
- Provide leadership, direction, performance management, and develop Operations Team Leads with emphasis on teamwork and problem-solving through regular assessments and timely communications on progress and areas of improvement.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
- Coordinate effective production and crewing schedules while optimizing productivity, quality, and inventory levels ensuring division of tasks, delegating, and monitoring of progress.
- Support new product development and introduction.
- Effectively manage all aspects of manufacturing to realize performance in safety, quality, and productivity delivering high quality products and exceptional customer service efficiently.
- Actively participate in the recruitment and selection of the operations team. Internal and external communications, as needed, 24 hours a day to ensure proper operation of every aspect of the business.
- Shall be competent and shall have appropriate education, training, skills, and experience. They shall be fully conversant in BRC Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HACCP Principles, and BRC Food Safety Standards and Applications.
- Ensure the environmental management system conforms to the requirements of ISO 14001 and reporting on the performance of the environmental management system to top management.
