- Strategic Sourcing: Support inter-departmental initiatives, identify domestic/global supply sources, and implement strategies to control product costs.
- Risk & Supply Management: Monitor Tier 2/3 supplier risks to mitigate disruptions, manage day-to-day commodity requirements, and use strategic expediting and inventory control to optimize customer fill rates.
- Supplier Relations: Maintain and improve vendor relationships and analyze performance data (cost, quality, on-time delivery).
- Trade & Logistics Compliance: Facilitate trade-compliant documents; perform landed cost analysis evaluating freight, duties, and tariffs; navigate global import/export regulations.
- ERP Data Integrity: Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, lead time, and pricing data within the ERP to ensure effective supply chain planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales to align on forecast changes, demand initiatives, and potential supply constraints.
- Education/Experience: Relevant Bachelor’s degree OR 5–10 years of experience in Purchasing & Logistics (global experience is a plus).
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Data Analytics). Experience with ERP data management. Project management skills (PMP is a plus).
- Core Competencies: Proven negotiation skills, market research capabilities, and financial modeling skills.
- Soft Skills: Strategic mindset, excellent verbal/written communication, organizational abilities, and a knack for quick, diplomatic problem-solving.
