Responsibilities
As the Purchaser, you will be the backbone of the production pipeline, ensuring the team has the materials needed to bring client projects to life.
- Manage Inventory: Monitor stock levels of paper, ink, specialized printing substrates, and bindery supplies.
- Source & Negotiate: Coordinate with trusted vendors to secure competitive pricing, check material availability, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Process Purchase Orders: Accurately enter, track, and expedite POs within the inventory management system.
- Collaborate Daily: Work closely with production managers and the sales team to align material delivery with tight project deadlines.
- Resolve Discrepancies: Address any shipping delays, damaged goods, or billing inconsistencies swiftly and professionally.
- Experience: 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory control experience (experience within the printing, packaging, or manufacturing industry is a major plus!).
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Excel.
- strong Communicator: Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills to partner effectively with vendors.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for numbers, specifications, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
