Responsibilities
- Perform variance analyses and deliver actionable financial insights directly to project managers.
- Manage inventory valuation and project-related accruals.
- Oversee intercompany invoicing processes.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Prepare accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements and reports.
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers and manage lease accounting records.
- Oversee payroll liabilities, including PTO and benefits accruals, and support Accounts Receivable activities as needed.
- Monitor daily cash flow and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and file monthly/quarterly Sales & Use Tax reports.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting workflows.
- Utilize modern software, automation, and AI tools to increase department efficiency and accuracy.
- Industry Experience: Direct experience in Construction Accounting or Project Controlling is strictly required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and financial modeling). Experience using Sage 300 or a comparable mid-to-large-market ERP system is highly preferred.
- Accounting Expertise: A deep understanding of GAAP standards, with prior experience working within a medium-to-large corporate environment.
