About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Co-Op or Contractor to help us digitize, optimize, and deploy standard operating procedures using modern connected worker technology. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering and operations teams to translate complex manufacturing processes into clear, interactive digital workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, update, and maintain connected worker instructions using Augmentir (or similar digital work instruction platforms).
- Collaborate with engineers and shop floor operators to gather process details, media, and feedback.
- Standardize visual work instructions to improve quality, safety, and training efficiency.
- Troubleshoot procedure flows and continuously refine content based on user input.
- Education: Currently enrolled in or completed an Engineering program (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, or related field preferred).
- Experience: Hands-on experience with Augmentir, Tulip, PTC ThingWorx, MasterControl, or a similar digital work instruction / MES platform.
- strong technical writing skills and an eye for clear, structured documentation.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
Following review with the Augmentir application owner, responsibilities below are split between what the application owner will coordinate and what the co-op/contractor will own directly.
Augmentir Application Owner (Coordinates)
- Build the plant's Augmentir structure by area, line, machine, equipment section, and task
- Coordinate reviews with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Safety
- Track content development, approvals, implementation, and adoption
- Train internal content owners so the system is sustainable after the assignment ends
- Interview and record experienced operators and technicians performing critical work
- Capture photos, videos, equipment drawings, warning signs, common mistakes, and troubleshooting knowledge
- Convert captured knowledge into visual digital work instructions
- Develop tablet-based equipment navigation using photographs, drawings, or simplified 3D equipment views
- Create standard templates for startups, shutdowns, changeovers, AM/PM activities, troubleshooting, safety, quality checks, and employee qualification
- Test materials with inexperienced employees and refine based on observed use
