Position Overview A well-established manufacturing and building materials supplier in the Medley area is seeking an experienced, independent Bookkeeper.
In this role, you will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, managing daily financial transactions, processing payroll for a 12-person crew, and maintaining the books through month-end financial reporting. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online and accustomed to managing an office's financial functions with high autonomy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required.
- Core Competencies: Solid understanding of double-entry accounting, bank statement reconciliations, payroll processing, and commercial vendor management.
- Work Style: Attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial office environment.

Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounts Payable: Manage full-cycle AP for ~20 core raw material, freight, and hauling vendors—performing 3-way matching of vendor invoices against purchase orders and physical yard delivery tickets prior to payment.
- Cash Application: Post and apply daily incoming check, ACH, wire, and credit card payments to client accounts in QuickBooks Online. (Invoicing handled externally).
- AR & Collections: Monitor aging reports for ~20 active commercial construction clients and conduct professional follow-ups to maintain cash flow.
- Reconciliations & General Ledger: Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements, clean up data feeds, and post standard journal entries to maintain GL accuracy.
- Month-End Close: Execute the month-end closing process and generate Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports for executive review.
- Payroll Processing: Audit and verify timesheets for a 12-person yard and driver crew, submitting accurate hours to the payroll provider each pay period.
- HR Onboarding: Manage new hire administrative onboarding, ensuring full compliance by collecting and filing I-9, W-4, and direct deposit forms.
