As a Construction Estimator, you will play a critical role in gathering project requirements, evaluating risk, performing quantity take-offs, and building comprehensive cost estimates from contract documents. Working closely with the preconstruction leadership team, you will analyze subcontractor bids, calculate self-perform costs, and help secure high-value commercial projects.

Responsibilities
- Preconstruction & Scope Review: Thoroughly analyze construction plans, specifications, and contract documents to establish project scopes of work and identify operational/financial risks.
- Quantity Take-Offs & Cost Estimation: Perform accurate quantity take-offs and build cost estimates for assigned scopes, including self-perform work calculations and trade packages.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Relations: Solicit, analyze, and scope proposals from qualified subcontractors and suppliers. Develop bid recommendations based on quote analysis, self-perform costs, and project risk factors.
- Bid Team Collaboration: Work as a core member of the bid team, ensuring clear communication, identifying scope gaps or overlaps, and delivering polished, competitive bid packages to leadership.
- Jobsite & Progress Meetings: Prepare for and attend job site walkthroughs, pre-bid conferences, and progress meetings to gather critical field intelligence.
- Post-Project Cost Analysis: Conduct historical cost analysis at project completion to compare estimated vs. actual costs and refine future estimating benchmarks.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Build and maintain ongoing relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and project owners.
