Responsibilities
- AR Monitoring & Revenue Growth: Proactively monitor and collect assigned Accounts Receivable to optimize cash flow and consistently achieve monthly and annual firm revenue targets.
- Client Communication & Diplomacy: Maintain a calm, professional, and diplomatic approach when discussing outstanding balances and payment terms with internal attorneys and external clients.
- Department Directives & Escalations: Execute AR Collections department strategies, escalating sensitive or complex client payment situations to management when appropriate.
- Data Management & Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date client records and accurately document all collection notes, communications, and account changes within the Fulcrum system.
- Collections & Reporting: Draft formal collection letters and generate comprehensive AR tracking reports directly from Fulcrum.
- Audit Trails & Financial Analysis: Analyze the end-to-end AR lifecycle (billings to cash application), maintain audit trails for billing inquiries, and build detailed Excel spreadsheets for special AR projects.
- Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and implement workflow enhancements to increase efficiency in billing, collections, and AR maintenance.
- Cash Application & Adjustments: Assist with daily deposit creation, post cash receipts as needed, and process attorney-authorized AR write-offs.
