Position Summary The Employee Relations Business Partner provides hands-on, objective employee relations support across multiple healthcare facilities. This highly visible role is responsible for conducting end-to-end workplace investigations, advising leadership on complex employee matters, and ensuring consistent, compliant outcomes. Operating as a neutral advisor, this individual will partner closely with HR, Legal, Labor Relations, and Risk teams to support performance management, mitigate organizational risk, and foster a positive, compliant workplace environment Key Responsibilities Workplace Investigations: Conduct full-cycle workplace investigations from intake to completion, including employee and witness interviews, evidence gathering, and documentation review. Documentation & Reporting: Draft formal, detailed investigation reports, outline factual findings, and provide clear recommendations for corrective action. Advisory & Coaching: Act as an objective advisor to leaders and employees on performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace concerns, and highly sensitive or high-risk employee situations. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with HR business partners, legal counsel, labor relations, and risk management teams to ensure consistent application of policies and compliant outcomes. Trend Analysis & HR Support: Identify and report on employee relations trends, support organizational change initiatives, and provide broader human resources support across assigned facilities as needed. Required Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience) and 5+ years of recent, dedicated Employee Relations or Human Resources experience. Investigation Expertise: Recent, hands-on experience personally conducting workplace investigations, including formal report writing and defensible case documentation. Core HR Knowledge: practical knowledge of federal and state employment laws, performance management, progressive discipline, and general employee relations casework. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach leaders through complex and sensitive scenarios. Mobility: Ability and willingness to travel locally between assigned regional facilities based on active investigations and business needs.
