Responsibilities
• Oversee purchasing activities and review, approve, and manage purchase orders
• Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and
service agreements
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier
performance
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and reliability
• Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to reduce supply chain risks
• Coordinate with Production Planning and Warehouse teams to ensure materials
are available when needed
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, safety stock, and purchasing
requirements
• Resolve supplier issues involving shortages, quality concerns, delivery delays,
and invoice discrepancies
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, pricing, lead times,
supplier certifications, and purchasing documentation
• Analyze purchasing costs, market conditions, and spending trends to identify
cost-saving opportunities
• Monitor purchasing budgets and support annual budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure purchased materials meet company specifications and food safety
requirements
• Maintain COAs, specifications, supplier certifications, and other required
documentation
• Establish departmental goals and monitor procurement performance metrics
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality Assurance,
Accounting, and Operations
• Support ERP/MRP system improvements and procurement system
enhancements
