The Cash Accounting Specialist manages daily treasury operations, banking reporting, payment applications, cash reconciliations, and customer ledger adjustments. This position ensures prompt and precise processing of monetary transactions, troubleshoots posting variances, and collaborates closely with internal finance and collections groups to uphold general ledger and cashbook integrity.
This is a hybrid role- 2 days in office 3 days remote after training. It is starting out as an open ended contract role with the potential to go perm.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and issue daily banking and cash flow summaries, covering specialized afternoon and mid-day institutional bank reports.
- Complete detailed cash reconciliation analyses for designated business entities (including primary operating codes such as 1010 and 2010), entering residual postings as necessary.
- Process incoming organizational payments alongside specialized manual credit and invoicing adjustments with high accuracy.
- Align cashbook records in coordination with both domestic and global accounting colleagues.
- Track and resolve open items within assigned cost centers and balance sheet accounts (including designated balance control accounts for primary operating entities).
- Assist collections teams and cross-functional partners with ad-hoc credit applications, account balancing, and billing inquiries.
- Handle desktop electronic check processing and remote deposit workflows using dedicated banking software.
- Preserve thorough audit documentation while adhering to internal financial controls and standard operating procedures.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- Background in cash management, accounts receivable, payment processing, bank reconciliations, or core accounting operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and modern enterprise accounting/ERP software.
