We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant for a temporary contract to provide comprehensive legal support and workflow management for our litigation team. The ideal candidate will handle court filings, document drafting, scheduling, and client/party communication to ensure efficient case management. 6 week assignment 8:30am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Process settlement notifications from the Department, draft standardized settlement letters, issue signed documents to opposing parties and track returns for filing.
  
  
• Prepare and file initial responsive legal documents (including notices of intention to defend and formal answers) after attorney sign-off, ensuring service on opposing parties.
  
  
• Populate case and party details into standard discovery templates and serve completed forms upon lawyer approval.
  
  
• Monitor court hearing notifications, update attorney calendars, notify relevant departments, and direct incoming phone inquiries to the appropriate legal staff.
