Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience (nonprofit fund accounting background preferred).
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Certifications (Optional): Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar credential is a plus.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into concise executive insights.

Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Financial Operations: Independently manage the full bookkeeping cycle, including transactions, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, month-end close, and GAAP-compliant fund accounting. Prepare monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual reports.
- AP & AR: Process vendor invoices and payments, manage grants, donations, and program revenue receivables, and maintain thorough transaction documentation.
- Cash Management & Banking: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly, monitor cash flow, and assist executive leadership with financial forecasting.
- Payroll & HR Support: Process or support payroll execution, ensuring accurate tracking of deductions, benefits entries, and compliance documentation.
- Compliance & Audits: Support annual audits, funder compliance, grant reporting, and Board financial preparation while maintaining internal controls.
