Responsibilities
- Manage tax advisory relationships for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, business owners, and affluent families.
- Provide continuous, year-round tax planning, projections, and quarterly estimated payment calculations.
- Advise on business entity structuring, basis tracking, S-Corp compensation, Roth conversions, and estate/charitable strategies.
- Partner with wealth advisors to align tax planning with investment, retirement, insurance, and estate plans.
- Prepare and review complex federal and state returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120-S, 1120, 709, and select 990s).
- Reconcile accounting records including general ledgers and trial balances—to resolve discrepancies before filing.
- Conduct independent tax research, manage regulatory notices and audits, and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; active CPA license strongly preferred.
- 4+ years of tax advisory experience.
- Proven track record of independently preparing and reviewing complex individual (1040) and entity returns (1065, 1120-S, 1120).
- Ability to distill complex tax technicalities into clear, confident recommendations for clients and team members.
