We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized Accounting Assistant with at least four years of hands-on experience in computer-based accounting systems. In this role, you will handle key day-to-day financial, bookkeeping, and clerical operations—including accounts payable/receivable, grant tracking, general ledger reconciliations, and audit preparation.

salary: $23 - $24 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain financial data integrity.
  
  
• Process employee expense reports and assist with payroll operations.
  
  
• Track, control, and report on Grant funds, project income, and member service fees within computerized and manual accounting systems.
  
  
• Assist in accounting for personnel, payroll, retirement, fringe benefits, and fixed asset inventory.
  
  
• Create, update, and maintain custom Excel spreadsheets for financial tracking.
  
  
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing and organizing required financial documentation.
  
  
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive fiscal and personnel information.
  
  
• Support the HR and Fiscal Manager with special projects, operational goals, and administrative tasks as assigned.

Accounts Payable (3 years of experience is preferred)

Accounts Receivable (3 years of experience is preferred)
