Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in accounting.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing accounting environment is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Excel and ERP/Accounting software systems (experience with IFS is a plus).
- Solid mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger & Month-End Close: Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, financial analyses, and account reconciliations. Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Freight & Inventory Reconciliations: Review and code all incoming freight bills and audit the unvouchered receipts report for completeness and accuracy.
- Payroll & Labor Accounting: Manage labor-related transactions, balances, and reporting; serve as the accounting department liaison with HR, payroll staff, and our payroll software provider.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Interact internally and externally to resolve questions or discrepancies concerning items, quantities, and pricing.
- Fixed Assets & Project Accounting: Monitor project cost compilation and record capital equipment acquisitions and dispositions in the fixed asset database.
- Credit Card Processing: Manage all aspects of credit card transactions, processing, and reconciliations.
- Support additional financial requests, reporting, and projects as needed.
