Randstad is seeking a Buyer I for our global power management client working onsite in Davenport, IA.

• Pay Rate: $25.00 to $25.87 per hour
• Location: Davenport, IA 52804 (On-site)
• Job Type: 3-month contract with the possibility of extension

Qualifications Must-haves:

• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related role
• Proven negotiation and communication abilities with high attention to detail
• strong understanding of standard purchasing processes and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel

Nice-to-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience using procurement software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Familiarity with contract management, supply chain logistics, or inventory management
• Professional certifications such as CSCP or CPSM

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials: Review purchasing requests to select appropriate suppliers and request competitive bids.
• Negotiate value: Evaluate vendor proposals, pricing, and terms to secure high-quality goods at cost-effective rates.
• Manage orders and contracts: Create accurate purchase orders and contracts while ensuring full compliance with company policies.
• Track and expedite delivery: Monitor order progress to keep project timelines on track and resolve any supplier discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor relationships: Build strong supplier connections and conduct performance evaluations to ensure quality service.
