Responsibilities
- Processing, verifying, and posting customer payments (cash, checks, ACH, credit cards) accurately and timely.
- Preparing, issuing, and delivering accurate customer invoices and billing statements.
- Monitoring account receivables to identify outstanding balances and overdue accounts.
- Conducting polite, professional collection calls and emails to resolve delinquent accounts.
- Performing daily cash applications and reconciling customer bank accounts/ledgers.
- Researching and resolving payment discrepancies, short payments, and billing disputes.
- Maintaining precise accounting records, aging reports, and customer account files.
- Assisting the finance team with month-end closing procedures and audit requests.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, general accounting, or billing.
- Education: High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus.
- Software: Proficiency in Accounting/ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables).
- Skills: High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
