Position Overview We are seeking Project Managers (Senior and Mid-Level) to drive execution for a large-scale global capability and operating model transformation. Partnering directly with R&D Functional Leaders, you will translate strategy and org designs into actionable workforce, change, onboarding, and transition execution plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Execution: Translate strategic org designs into project plans; manage milestones, dependencies, and risks across global hubs.
- Transition & Hypercare: Operate high-touch transition support for functions relocating work or building new teams, triaging issues to reduce risk.
- Onboarding Readiness: Coordinate cross-functional readiness (IT, tools, orientation) alongside Knowledge Transfer PMs for smooth cohort onboarding.
- Workforce Planning: Reconcile demand plans with HR and Talent Acquisition, tracking progress from requisition through hire.
- Change & Business Cases: Execute functional change plans and model financial/workforce assumptions for executive design reviews.
- Proven project/program management experience in a complex global matrix organization.
- Direct experience with Global Capability Centers (GCC/GCM), operating model redesigns, or site buildouts.
- strong background in workforce planning, change management, transition management, or business-case development.
- Ability to present to executive leaders, manage ambiguity, and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Life sciences, pharma, or biotechnology background preferred.
- Senior PM: Independently drive functional execution, solve complex cross-functional issues, advise senior leaders, and lead business cases.
- Project Manager: Maintain tracking plans, perform workforce analysis, coordinate onboarding readiness, and manage issue logs.

Responsibilities
1. Functional GCM Execution
- Partner with Functional GCM Leads to translate approved functional strategies and organization designs into practical execution plans.
- Maintain an integrated view of functional milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks and issues across workforce build, change, onboarding and transition activities.
- Connect functional execution with the broader GCM program and identify dependencies requiring coordination across R&D functions, GCM sites or enterprise teams.
- Ensure emerging execution issues are surfaced early, with clear options and recommendations for resolution.
- Establish and operate a high-touch transition support process for functions moving work, building new teams or implementing new operating models.
- Provide a clear point of coordination for transition issues raised by functional leaders, managers and new teams.
- Triage issues quickly, connect them to the appropriate owner and drive follow-through until resolution.
- Identify recurring issues and patterns that indicate broader gaps in processes, policies, onboarding, technology or site readiness and escalate them through the GCM program.
- The objective is not simply to track issues, but to remove friction and reduce execution risk during periods of significant organizational change.
