We are seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger operations, financial reporting, and month-end close for a manufacturing facility in the Chester/Hopewell area.

In this key leadership role, you will manage core accounting structures in SAP, oversee US GAAP compliance and external audits, and serve as the operational bridge between plant interfaces (freight, payroll, revenue) and corporate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Close Management: Lead full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end GL close processes, journal entry reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations under US GAAP.
  
  
• Audit & Internal Controls: Serve as the primary lead for external audit requests, internal control evaluations (SOX), and joint venture compliance reporting.
  
  
• Accounting Operations & Systems: Oversee cross-functional ledger interfaces including payroll, freight, revenue recognition, and rebate accounting; maintain chart of accounts and master data in SAP.
  
  
• Team & Process Leadership: Supervise daily GL/AP/AR operational workflows, streamline accounting procedures, and support plant and operational leadership with clear financial insights.
  
  

Target Qualifications

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred.
  
  
• Experience: 8+ years of progressive financial accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing, industrial operations, or similar environments.
  
  
• Technical Proficiency: Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and hands-on experience with SAP (or similar enterprise ERPs) and advanced Excel.
  
  
• Leadership & Drive: Demonstrated experience leading close processes, managing audits, and collaborating across plant operations and executive management.
