Our client is in the non-profit industry, and they are looking to fill a permanent Senior Accountant Role to work in their Bedford, NH office. This role supports Section 8 and Federal Reporting areas and although housing experience would be ideal, our client is flexible to candidates with accounting experience related to government or non-profit as well. Responsibilities

Will be responsible for completing accounting functions and managing accounting systems related to federal rental assistance.

This role also involves supporting the administrative budget process, annual federal reporting and coordinating external audit requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Report accurate and timely unit and Housing Assistance Payments to Federal reporting system monthly.

• Review, interpret, and apply federal accounting regulations to accounting entries, and federal reporting.

• Maintain and/or assist in the development of rental assistance systems for areas of accounting.

• Report financial statements to federal government and answer questions relating to rental assistance portion of federal report.

• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and/or bank statements monthly and investigates and resolves discrepancies.

• Prepare various schedules and analysis for annual administrative budgets and audit as needed.

• Verify and assist in the development of process improvements and computerized reports.
