We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accountant for a full-time role based in downtown Atlanta, GA. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will manage core accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records, GAAP compliance, and sound internal controls. Key responsibilities include overseeing general ledger activities, month- and year-end closes, financial statement preparation, and budget-to-actual variance reporting. You will also manage accounting for contributions, grants, donor restrictions, and cash flow monitoring, as well as lead audit preparation and annual Form 990 filings. Additionally, this role plays a pivotal part in leading upcoming ERP system implementation, data migration, and workflow improvements. An active CPA credential or an advanced degree in finance or accounting is highly preferred. Responsibilities

 Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and
monthly and year-end closing processes.
 Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports, including
budget-to-actual analyses and explanations of significant variances.
 Maintain proper accounting for contributions, grants, donor restrictions, and
releases from restriction.
 Support budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and appropriate
allocation of expenses across programs and supporting functions.
 Coordinate audit preparation, maintain supporting schedules, and assist with
annual tax filings, including Form 990.
 Develop, document, and strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls
to safeguard organizational assets.
 Lead or support ERP implementation, including requirements gathering, system
configuration, data migration, testing, staff training, and ongoing improvements.
 Collaborate with coworkers, program leaders, and external partners to resolve
financial questions and support organizational objectives.
