The Role at a Glance As a Warehouse Service Tech, you are the backbone of the client experience. You will manage high-end exhibit inventory, ensuring everything from lighting to laminate is in "show-ready" condition before it hits the convention floor.
- Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
- The "X" Factor: Frequent travel to major trade shows to supervise setups and support high-profile clients.
- The Work: A mix of warehouse management, minor technical repairs (paint, wood, electrical), and logistics.
- Tech & Repairs: Inspect returning exhibits and perform "on-the-fly" repairs—touching up paint, testing electrical components, and fixing crates.
- Logistics Mastery: Prep and palletize shipments, ensuring every screw and instruction manual is accounted for in the manifest.
- Forklift Operation: Safely load and unload semi-trailers (training provided for high-pile storage).
- On-Site Leadership: Travel to event sites to oversee the "build" and "strike" of exhibits, acting as a key point of contact for the client.
- The "Handy" Type: You are mechanically inclined and comfortable reading technical drawings or schematics.
- Problem Solvers: You don't panic when a deadline is tight or a part is missing; you find a way to make it work.
- Road Warriors: You are genuinely excited about traveling and working flexible hours (including nights and weekends) to meet show schedules.

Responsibilities
- Prep inventory/client product for use at tradeshows and other events and load items into crates and pallets to prepare for shipment.
- Write detailed and legible manifest of all elements to be shipped, ensuring all necessary inventory, hardware and set up instructions are included.
- Safely operate a forklift to efficiently and safely load semi-trailers for shipment.
- Upon returning from a show or event, unload trailers with forklift and stage the freight in an area to prepare for inspection.
- Conduct inspections of inventory to assess any damages and identify any missing items. Thorough inspections include but are not limited to testing lighting, performing minor repairs such as regluing laminate, touching up paint, repairing wood skids and crates, and minor electrical cord/fixture repair.
- Upon completion of thorough check in inspections, reload items into shipping containers to prepare for the next outbound shipment.
- Review manifests for accuracy and ensure any additional manifests are included if the shipment is forwarding or splitting after the dismantle before returning to CenterPoint.
- Develop good working relationships with sales teams and project managers through strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Manage the installation and maintenance of technical components for displays.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of client product and unique client needs.
