This isn’t just a "button-pusher" role. You’ll be the architect of the shop floor—planning complex layouts, improvising production aids, and working with everything from aerospace-grade alloys to synthetics.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- True Craftsmanship: You’ll handle everything from manual lathes and mills to advanced CNC equipment and precision grinders.
- Variety is the Standard: One day you’re fabricating intricate parts with compound angles; the next, you’re calibrating tooling or working with sheet metal and power brakes.
- A Seat at the Table: We value your expertise. You’ll have the opportunity to suggest design changes that improve productivity and manufacturing processes.
- Ownership: You’ll manage your own workflow, select your own cutting tools, and ensure every part meets the highest standards of excellence.
- Experience: 2–4 years of machining experience (manual and CNC).
- The "Machinist’s Eye": Deep knowledge of blueprints, shop math, and precision measuring instruments.
- Technical Versatility: You’re comfortable with lathes, mills, jig borers, and punch presses.
- Problem-Solving DNA: You don't just find problems; you develop solutions and improve the process.
- Attention to Detail: You believe "close enough" is never enough.
- Layout & Fabricate: Plan complex machining operations for product parts, tooling, and assemblies.
- Precision Control: Maintain exacting tolerances on ferrous, non-ferrous, and synthetic materials.
- Tool & Die: Perform jig, fixture, and die work to support production.
- Innovation: Improve production aids and provide feedback on design criteria to maximize efficiency.
